On Wednesday, November 20, Ross Klatte and I will be reprising our Slocan reading at The Langham Cultural Centre, located at 447 A Ave (Highway 31 at 5th St) in Kaslo, BC. The reading begins at 7 pm, and is free, although donations to support The Langham are welcome.
As at our enjoyable September reading at the Slocan, BC, Community Library, Ross will read from his new novel, Waiting for the Revolution, and I will read from my memoir, The Road to Appledore or How I Went Back to the Land Without Ever Having Lived There in the First Place. Both books are set in the West Kootenay, although Ross’ novel focuses on the 1960s-era, and my memoir covers 1989 to the present. The common thread is people trying to discover where and how they want to live, so the theme of our reading is, once more, “Finding Home.”
